Stealth Update Purchase Limits

Due to extremely limited supply and high demand, for the foreseeable future we must limit Spanish Peacock stealth update purchases to one spindle per customer.

Stealth updates were intended to level the playing field for customers with slower internet connections, more remote locations, or who were otherwise unable to purchase during an announced update.

However, more and more often, a single customer will wipe out the majority of a stealth update. This means fewer people are in fact benefiting from this approach and we are forced to take more extreme steps to ensure fairness.

What does this mean?

• If you purchase more than one spindle in a single transaction during a stealth update, the less expensive spindle will be canceled and returned to inventory.
• If you place separate transactions with a spindle in each, any transaction after the first will be canceled and the spindle(s) returned to inventory.  
• At this time, this new policy only applies to spindles, not bowls, fiber or other merchandise. 

You may still buy additional non-spindle items with the single spindle. However, we cannot ship some items—such as storage stands and plying stands—with a spindle so you might not benefit from combined shipping. 

This change requires additional administrative overhead on our parts. We have no way to automate this new policy, so during the update we must monitor transactions to ensure all customers comply. As a result, stealth updates may occur less frequently and during more limited time frames. 

Note this does NOT apply to announced updates, which includes the “open season” following Fledgling or Stalk Free Pass lotteries.
